Hanson Financial Services was founded in 1992 and has successfully navigated two recessions, four financial crises and two major market collapses. Buying low and selling high, though the goal of many, is difficult for most investors and investment managers to successfully implement. Our active risk management style of investing seeks to minimize losses during market declines, while making the most of bull markets without taking excessive risk. Active risk management really shines during tumultuous times.

We are an independent firm with advisors offering fee-based services. When working as fee-based advisors we are not selling products and have no quotas or sales managers to answer to. Because our fees depend on the value of your portfolio, we have a vested interest in both protecting and increasing your wealth. If you gain, we gain; if your portfolio loses value we lose revenue. We feel this puts us on the same side of the table as we work together with our clients in helping them to meet their goals.

We're known for investing, but investment decisions shouldn't be made in a vacuum. Tax planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and risk management are part of our holistic processes. These are all part of a successful financial future and all are interdependent. We work as a team with our client's attorneys and accountants to provide holistic financial management and planning.
